Wiki page and Paper Three Concerns

All in all, I think I did relatively well on my Wiki page, however the more I dug into the subject of Piano Repertoires the more I realized there was very, very little to say about it, save for the definition as offered by Webster and perhaps a few collections of famous repertoires. Which is ultimately what I did, excluding the fact that I added a few bits and pieces of information pertaining to the history and role that they play in developing piano skills and music skills alike. However, it's done and over with. But, now I have to come up with some sort of argument or such about it? I'm not really sure, I didn't quite grasp what Professor Peltier was saying about paper 3 during class hours. Hopefully though, he'll explain it better tomorrow (Wednesday, November 18).

Wikipedia, Frustration, and Me

I finally belted down and began doing some research on my Wiki topic, "Piano Repertoire" after some much un-needed procrastination. Doing some research that I should have done a very long time ago I realized some of the sister Wiki pages about relevant topics are very different then what I had in mind. The "Piano" page is just like I suspected, a normal Wiki page about the instruments history and such. However, the page for "Piano Trio Repertoire" is just a long list of songs that can be played in a piano trio. Over this weekend, though I hope to buckle down a lot and get started on my Wiki page and get the better majority done >.>.
In an unrelated matter, this week and I have not seen eye-to-eye whatsoever. I have been more forgetful than a lab rat. I have so far forgotten my book-bag, my English book, a lunch nearly daily or money for a make up lunch, etc. And to top that I'm getting sick. Good fight week. Good fight...

Hmm.

I realized something this past week I hadn't noticed before. Snow Patrol is the best band alive...

Ze post of ze week.

Over this past weekend I finally belted down and started on the 4-page paper due on the 21st for peer editing and realized that throughout all of the talks during class, this paper is much easier said than done. I only got a little less than 1 page written before I had a resignation that I was fresh out of new ideas to write about. The gist of what I did end up writing is just some simple things about the format of the wikipedia paper and what general ways of research there are, then some quotes from Ballenger about researching from the last chapter read and discussed in class. So I'm thinking now that instead of sitting in the computer lab at Marshall here on campus checking my Farmville and updating my Facebook, I really should be paying more attention on said 4-page paper.
Although, in complete frankness I can't focus on my hand in front of me for the nerves of Disctricts this week back at my High School soccer team.

First Blog Post

I fear I may have procrastinated slightly too long on putting up my first blog post, so without further ado here it is: My name is Jeremy L. Ritchey, I'm from Ypsilanti, MI. and attended Lincoln Consolidated Schools. The past few weeks I had been brainstorming ideas for a topic to do my Wikipedia paper on, and I finally came across a doable topic yesterday -Piano Repertoire- while looking over a Wikipedia page for "Piano."
